I'm not really much of an 'accessories' girl. Never have been. I've
never really worn much make-up, jewellery... I could count the number of
shoes and handbags I own on one hand (I'm not kidding).
Lovely Emma from 'Designs By Emma' sent me the bag pictured above recently. I've never ever had such a nice handbag! And I mentioned how much I loved it to my husband.
And again. And again. And again.
In the end, my husband said, "What is it with you and this bag Katie?". Well, he asked so of course I felt obliged to tell him (poor hubby...).
Firstly it is beautiful! I really love the owl print and the plastic coating means that I have had this bag for weeks and not one mark, scratch, stain or anything nasty and is protected from my grubby children!
I love that it is a roomy bag. I can fit spare nappies/undies for the kids, lunch boxes, A4 folders (great for a teacher), jumpers and hats etc. When I go out and about I can shove everything I need in the one bag and still have plenty of room! It also features two little inner pockets and a handy magnetic clasp.
Yesterday while my hubby and I sat at the play gym watching our girls play, with my bag next to me, he turned to me and said, "It's a nice bag Katie." Seriously, you couldn't get any higher praise than that from a guy!

Oh I have been admiring Designs By Emma's bags for so long!! I have been put on a 'no spend' 4 months, while we save up to replace a few items in our household. Its been hard, as she posts such lovely bags on facebook that go out to lucky customers!! So very practical with my 2 lil squirts!

ReplyDeleteI, like you don't have many handbags/shoes and other girly stuff! However, I have just started to look for a bag, that I can put all my son's things in for when I return to work and take him to daycare. This looks perfect, plus it has owls on it and will match the quilt his grandmother made for him.

ReplyDeleteI love the face that the inside is bright and colourful. Hence very easy to find items rather that the boring black dark colour. (You can never find things in a dark inside of a bag). The owls are so cute too.

ReplyDeleteEmma is extremely creative and talented and I love her bags. They are funky and this bag is a perfect size for absolutely everything. My daughter, who is 5 is obsessed with bags and purses. Although I know she will try her hardest to sweet talk me into giving it to her, this is one gorgeous bag I would be keeping for myself :)
