Raising no-shoe children

I love being bare-foot. I love feeling through things with my toes. I love the freedom.

I can't remember a time when I wore shoes inside the house. When I go outside I go bare-foot when I can. If I am going out I normally wear thongs.

When my children go out they wear shoes. As soon as they come inside it is shoes off and bare-foot all the way. This has become so much of Miss 2's life that she doesn't like to 'play' with them on. When we go to someone else's place or creche she has to take them off!

My feet look awful (walking outside, inside barefoot)...

I'm not one to get a 'pedicure' so that is how they look like. But hey, this is me! (well my feet anyway!).

Are you a shoe on or a shoe off type of person?

  1. I hate being bare foot. Stepped on a broken glass bottle as a kid and the scar is still so sensitive. I even wear thongs or slippers inside. Bare foot to bed though. Rachelx

  3. I'm encouraging my family to take their shoes off before coming inside too - but mostly to keep the dirt outside ;)
