Step 1: Put pasta in ziplock bag.
Step 4: Shake bag (once zipped shut that is!)... if you don't like the colour you can add more etc at this point.
Step 6: Once dry the pasta is free to use!Here is Miss 2 wearing a lovely red coloured pasta necklace!
Fun! I saw Miss 2's necklace :) What is the vinegar for?
ReplyDeleteI have done this with coloured rice - using aquim gel to help the colour spread & dry faster (I wrote a post about it last year some time).
The vinegar helps the food coloring dry faster so the pasta doesn't get soggy from being wet. You can use alcohol but obviously vinegar is a safer option when children are involved!
DeleteI do the same thing when we made coloured rice. I don't use aquim gel, I just use some vinegar.
