A birthday cake for Jesus

My eldest recently had her 2nd birthday... so she 'knows' about birthdays. So we thought we would have a birthday cake to celebrate Jesus' birthday! I mean, why not? We sung 'Happy Birthday' and once again had a chat about the the real meaning of Christmas...

My husband, children and I are not with our family today and there is just something wrong with that! But we have a lovely day to look forward to... so I am soldiering on. After we open presents I am making a cooked breakfast (sausages, bacon, egg, hash-browns, waffles & cocoa pops) and then we will hopefully (toddler had a temperature during the night) be off to church (can't wait for the Christmas carols) and then its a yummy Sara Lee Lasagne and Sara Lee Chocolate cake for dinner & dessert. Then my husband is off to work after lunch and I am hoping that we will have a relaxing afternoon with the girls playing with new toys and books. We are so blessed!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a safe and blessed holiday!
